Vermont is becoming famous for our wonderful bakers… and our Bread Department is overflowing with the fruits of their labors. Crusty whole grain breads, marvelous baguettes, wonderful focaccias and more are available seven days a week.

Cheese

HL boasts one of the most comprehensive cheese departments in Vermont. We’re proud to cut cheeses from all over the world…with an emphasis on something we can all be proud of: cheeses lovingly crafted right here in Vermont. Our Vermont cheesemakers are becoming famous, and we love working with them. Our Cheese Department also boasts another thing we’re proud of; a knowledgeable and great team who can tell you the story of every cheese, pair it with food and wine, put together a fabulous cheese platter for you, special order, and more.

Grocery

We have a complete, abundant selection of all the natural and organic grocery items fit to eat with prices that you’ll love. Looking for a product you can’t find on our shelves? Let us know and we’ll special order it for you and who knows… it’ll probably end up permanently on our shelves because we believe that the products you want are the products we should be carrying. Customer feedback has always been key to our progress.

Housewares

Our Housewares Department focuses on tools for food preparation, offering a collection of tools we’ve tried and we love. As you walk our aisles, you will find products from this department spread throughout the store, corresponding to the department you’re in. For example, when you’re our in our baking area, you’ll find a great assortment of whisks, measuring tools, baking pans, and more. We choose tools that are simple, well-made and functional… tools we’ve tried and that have passed the test of people who love to cook and bake!

Meat & Seafood

Locally raised meat and poultry are the bedrock of this department. We have been working with local farmers for over 20 years and are honored to offer the finest meat products we’ve ever eaten! Vermont can be very, very proud of its farmers who’ve risen to the occasion to provide a steady stream fantastic meat products. Unprocessed seafood come to us 6 days a week, fresh off the boats.

Produce

Walk into Healthy Living and the first thing you will see is our Produce Department… a wild and wonderful world of the freshest, highest-quality organic produce you’ll find anywhere. This is a truly beautiful work of art, and we’ve been proud to be offering it for many years. We’ve been working with local farmers for over 20 years and love doing business with this amazing community of hard-working people. When local’s not available, we continue to stock the department with a huge array of freshness… delivered to us seven days a week.

Vitamins & Herbs

If all those little bottles and jars seem overwhelming and confusing, you are not alone! That’s why we have a staff of knowledgeable people in our Vitamin Department… people who can help you make sense of supplements, teach you about herbs and homeopathics, special order products for you, or research a special need you might have. We have the largest selection of vitamins and supplements in Vermont, backed up by people who know the products and love to help!

Wine & Beer

Over the years, we’ve built our Wine & Beer department slowly and carefully and we now boast one of the most comprehensive and exciting wine departments in Vermont. To make things even better, we have in-the-aisle staff to help you make sense of all those gorgeous bottles. Wondering what wine pairs with what food? We are here to help! Our Beer selection is huge with over 20 feet of refrigerated beers from all over the world. Special orders, full-case special pricing, and going the extra mile are all part of our plan! We have regular wine tastings right here at the store.
