Herbal remedies are growing in popularity; as they do, it’s getting harder and harder to find someone you can trust to impart knowledge in an informative and impartial manner. But you’re in luck- we’ve snagged a fabulous local author/educator to share some of his wisdom with you! Meet Guido Masé, author of The Wild Medicine Solution: Healing With Aromatic, Bitter, and Tonic Plants and co-director of the Vermont Center of Integrative Herbalism; he’ll be joining us to discuss the simple foundations to the complex art of herbal medicine. We’ll talk about three basic classes of medicinal plants- many of which are probably poking around in your pantry, fridge, or garden- and about their beneficial properties. We’ll show you why we think it’s crucial to integrate herbs into your life and how simple it is to perform “herbal alchemy” at home; we’ll also be sampling tonics and bitters from local legends Urban Moonshine.
Guido Masé is a clinical herbalist, herbal educator, and garden steward; he specializes in holistic Western herbalism. His eclectic and far-reaching influences give him a rich base of knowledge from which to teach and an impressively integrated perspective. Mr. Masé both works and teaches at the Vermont Center for Integrated Herbalism; he is also the chief herbalist at Urban Moonshine and author of The Wild Medicine Solution: Healing With Aromatic, Bitter, and Tonic Plants. He is possibly Vermont’s most celebrated herbalist; his contribution to the local, national, and international herbal healing community is vast.
