Our café started with a crock pot of vegetarian chili back in 1986, and now serves hundreds of hungry guests every day! Everything in our café is prepared fresh daily by our team of talented chefs and cooks. We use the best of what’s fresh, local (and often organic) to create delicious dishes you’ll come back for time and time again. We’re famous for our eclectic mix of ethnic foods, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, dishes featuring local meat, custom-built salads and sandwiches, and Sunday brunch with live music. Gluten-Free & Vegan Chocolate-Cherry Cupcakes

Full disclosure: I am neither gluten-free nor vegan.
Another fact: I eat a fair amount of cupcakes.
And since we’re being so up-front and honest, I just ate one of these cupcakes, and it was good. Like, stupid good.
Most of us who work in the natural foods industry have experienced some pretty mediocre GF/V baked goods. This creates a bit of a dilemma, since it is incredibly difficult to recommend a product that suits a guest’s dietary needs, yet has the flavor and texture of 150 year-old concrete.
Luckily, we’ve got Hilary Payne-Vinick in our corner. Hilary has spent years fine-tuning recipes for GF/V pastries, and these Chocolate-Cherry Cupcakes are the culmination of that effort. They’ll be made right here in our beautiful bakeshop, from scratch, all through the month of March. So whether you’re on a gluten-free diet, vegan, or both, OR just want a killer cupcake, swing by our Espresso & Juice Bar and pick up a few.
